Margaret and her daughter Clara are vacationing in Florence for the summer and are determined to make the most of it. When Clara and Fabrizio are blown together by chance, it seems that love is in the air. But will long-held secrets come to light and ruin the young couple’s chance at happiness?

World-renowned, award-winning opera singer Renée Fleming, recently nominated for a Tony Award for her role in Carousel, stars alongside Disney Channel darling Dove Cameron. Both women make their West End debuts under the masterful direction of Tony and multi Olivier award winner Daniel Evans.
The West End cast of The Light in the Piazza also stars Celinde Schoenmaker (Fantine in Les Miserables, Christine Daaé in The Phantom of the Opera) as Franca Naccarelli, Malcolm Singer (Casino Royale, V for Vendetta) as Roy Johnson, Alex Jennings as Signor Naccarelli, Rob Houchen as love interest Fabrizio Naccarelli, Marie McLaughlin (Le Nozze di Figaro, La boheme, Don Giovanni) as Signora Naccarelli, and Liam Tamne as Giuseppe Naccarelli.

Summer holidays are upon us and undoubtedly there’s lots to look forward to this summer, but be sure you don’t miss out on these brilliant shows that are set to end their runs this month. On the face of it, The Light in the Piazza playing at the Royal Festival Hall in London’s Southbank Centre is a glossy Hollywood-style 1950s musical rom-com. Scenario Two, the production team behind the upcoming West End staging of The Light in the Piazza, has officially announced the show's additional cast members, who are set to join world-class opera star Renée Fleming and Disney actress Dove Cameron. The Light in the Piazza, which is based on the hit 1960 novella by Elizabeth Spencer, opens at the Royal Festival Hall, Southbank Centre on 14 June 2019.
