With its modern refurbishment and comfortable setting, it is a rising star on London’s independent theatre scene.

The history of Marylebone Theatre

Although the venue itself has existed in various forms within Rudolf Steiner House for decades, the space was fully renovated and relaunched as the Marylebone Theatre in 2022. Since its reopening, the theatre has positioned itself as a hub for new ideas and creative expression, blending traditional performance arts with thought-provoking modern works.

The theatre’s inaugural season included A Sherlock Carol (which has returned to the theatre for every festive season since) and The Dry House by Eugene O’Hare. The theatre hosts a  variety of concerts and off-Broadway transfers, and has established a pattern of quality and ambition that continues to define its programming today.
