Some companies and theatres are able to offer 2 for 1 theatre tickets on selected shows. The best way to book these theatre tickets would be through the agent or company who are advertising the offer.
The theatre ticket offer may include 'Buy one full price ticket and get a 2nd one free". These tickets would normally be subject to availability as the theatres have a certain amount of seats that can be offered out, before there is a ‘cap’.
It might be best available in the theatre, or in some cases include a specific area, for example, the Stalls, Dress Circle. Grand Circle etc. - or even seats at a certain price, for example, it may be 'valid for tickets at face value £35.00'.
Offers like this might be found in the Summer months when the children are on holidays, or at off peak seasons. You need to check the full details of the offer you have found, but you may be able to bag tickets to some of the West Ends top shows including; Phantom of the Opera, Matilda the Musical, Disney's The Lion King, and Wicked.
It's also worth noting that some train companies arrange a special ticket offer, for example, 'buy a full rate train ticket and get half off a theatre ticket'. Similarly, you will need to book these via the company advertising the deal in question. Phone numbers and websites should be provided along with instructions of how to book, but look out for adverts that appear more vague, as these could turn out to be illegitimate.
Look out for family tickets, as there are always companies out there helping you to reduce your costs so you can take your family to enjoy the entertainment the West End theatre has to offer. This might include travel agents, rail companies, websites, and the theatres directly.
Always buy your tickets from a trustworthy source. The company needs to be a member of STAR (which means you can book in confidence and in a secure way) - this is a good way to check as STAR are a self regulatory body within the ticketing industry.
The agent should clearly identify the face value of any tickets purchased and their booking fees, highlight their terms and conditions and give you a high quality of customer service.
You may like to join and subscribe to a website, so that you receive the current offers out there. Sometimes it's best to subscribe so you are the first to receive the deals!
Keep in mind that 2 for 1 theatre tickets will almost always have exclusions in terms of dates, so make sure to read all terms and conditions before buying.
