Inspired by a true story and based on the hit movie, Made in Dagenham at the Adelphi Theatre is the uplifting new West End musical comedy about friendship, love and the importance of fighting for what is right.
Made in Dagenham is set in Essex 1968 where millions of other working women, each morning Rita O’Grady is just trying to get her husband out of bed, get the kids off to school and get to work at the factory on time. Life, however, is about to change forever when it’s announced that the girls in the stitching room of Ford’s Dagenham car plant will have their pay grade dropped to ‘unskilled’.
Quickly drawing on a strength she never knew she had, Rita leads her friends in a battle against the might of Ford and the corruption of the Union supposed to protect them. As the girls’ inspiring journey gets bigger than anyone could have imagined, the pressure is too much for some, but can Rita keep up the fight and the happy home she’s worked so hard for?

The Made In Dagenham cast is led by Gemma Arterton in the lead role of Rita O’Grady, with Adrian Der Gregorian as her husband Eddie. The cast also includes Steve Furst (US Ford Executive Mr Tooley), Mark Hadfield (Harold Wilson) and Sophie-Louise Dann (Barbara Castle).

Gemma Arterton will be on holiday and not performning in the shows Monday 23 March to Wednesday 25 March.
There is no minimum age for content for this production, however parents are encouraged to use their discretion as some scenes contain swearing representative of the authentic 1968 factory setting. The minimum entry age for this theatre in general is 5+.

Llevo mucho tiempo esperando el estreno de Made in Dagenham The Musical en el Adelphi Theatre , y como Made In Dagenham es también mi película favorita de todos los tiempos como no musical, he estado esperando con muchas esperanzas. Así que, en cuanto se abrieron las entradas, reservé para ir al primer sábado por la noche tras la inauguración oficial (odio los avances) para por fin saciar mi sed de espectáculo, ¡y quedé muy satisfecha y agradable!

Es medio trimestre, así que para mucha gente la rutina habitual de la vida está rota. Esto significa que esta mañana tengo una clase de Zumba muy pequeña. Esto es malo porque

B. ¡A nadie le gusta tocar en un teatro vacío!
Leí en internet que Wicked Sydney está organizando un concurso para ganar una parte de la caminata. Lo hicieron hace siete años en Londres, y obviamente yo participé. Una amiga y yo alquilamos un pabellón deportivo y un trampolín y ella me grabó saltando de un lado a otro vestido de Elphaba cantando "Defying Gravity" (está en YouTube, échale un vistazo). Fue genial. No gané, pero sí me dieron algunas entradas gratis para llegar a los ocho finalistas.
Me voy a vivir un poco de experiencia de terror en los tranvías por la noche. Esta semana trabajo como actor asustando a la gente en los viajes en tranvía de Halloween por las tardes. Resulta que esto podría llevar a un papel en una película, aunque yo interpreto a un ayudante de carnicero loco, y estoy bastante seguro de que mis lamentos y gruñidos no van a funcionar bien como audición.

En las primeras horas de esta mañana se confirmó (finalmente) que Gemma Arterton protagonizará el estreno en el West End de Made In Dagenham. Las entradas ya están a la venta para el musical, que comienza los avances en el Teatro Adelphi el 9 de octubre antes de la inauguración oficial el 5 de noviembre.
