Lovingly ripped off from the 1975 film Monty Python and the Holy Grail, Spamalot at the Playhouse Theatre tells the tale of King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table in their quest to find the religious relic – and features a chorus line of dancing divas (with serfs), flatulent Frenchmen, killer rabbits and a legless knight. Songs include He's not dead Yet, Find Your Grail and of course Always look on the Bright Side of Life.

Diese Woche im West End beginnt heute Abend (20.Januar) mit einer besonderen Gala-Vorstellung im Playhouse Theatre , um Joe Pasquale zurück in Spamalot willkommen zu heißen. Der Schauspieler und Komiker spielte letzten Sommer zuvor König Arthur und erhielt begeisterte Kritiken, und nach einem kurzen Auftritt in der aktuellen All-Stars-Finalserie von ITVs Dancing on Ice kehrt Joe nun zur Produktion zurück, um an der Seite der ehemaligen Hollyoaks-Schauspielerin Carley Stenson zu spielen, die die Dame vom See spielt.

Es wurde bekannt gegeben, dass CBBCs Dick and Dom ihr West-End-Musicaltheaterdebüt geben wird, indem sie gemeinsam auf der Bühne in Monty Pythons Spamalot im Playhouse Theatre auftreten. Ab dem 2. Dezember werden sie die Rollen von König Artus und Patsy für sechs Wochen während der Weihnachts- und Neujahrsfeier spielen.

Der Komiker, der zum Schauspieler wurde, Les Dennis, ist nun der Besetzung von Spamalot im Playhouse Theatre als König Arthur beigetreten und wird die Rolle bis zum 2. November übernehmen. Vom 23. September bis 19. Oktober wird er von dem winzigen Star Wars- und Willow-Star Warwick Davis als Patsy begleitet. Die Musicallegende Bonnie Langford bleibt bis zum Ende der Aufführung in der Rolle der Lady of the Lake in der Rolle. am 2. November.

In einer neuartigen Fundraising-Idee soll das erfolgreiche Musical Spamalot einen 'Sommer der Spamalot-Liebesgötter' zeigen, um Aufmerksamkeit auf mehrere von Prominenten ausgewählte Wohltätigkeitsorganisationen zu lenken und Geld für sie zu sammeln. Die Rolle des Gottes wird meist von Monty-Python-Legende und Spamalot-Schöpfer Eric Idle gespielt, der als Figur auf einer riesigen Leinwand erscheint, wenn König Artus und die Ritter der Tafelrunde ihre Suche bekommen Der Heilige Gral. Hugh Bonneville, Barbara Windsor, Larry Lamb, Bradley Walsh, Simon Callow und Christopher Biggins haben alle ihre Rollen gedreht, die ab Montag, dem 15. Juli, jeweils eine Woche am Stück gezeigt werden.

Joe Pasquale wurde bestätigt, an der Seite der zurückkehrenden Spamalot-Darstellerin Bonnie Langford für eine begrenzte sechswöchige Spielzeit im Playhouse Theatre zu spielen. Er wird ab dem 17. Juni als König Arthur zur Besetzung stoßen, bevor er seine eigene landesweite Tour, The Joe Pasquale Summer 2013 Tour, vom 1. bis 26. August startet. Darauf folgt die Hauptrolle in der UK-Tour von Ha Ha Holmes! Der Hund der Baskervilles ab dem 2. September.
