New musical Broken Wings set to premiere at the Theatre Royal Haymarket

*Broken Wings*, which is co-written by **Nadmi Naaman** (*The Phantom of the Opera*) and composer **Dana Al Fardan** and based on the autobiography of the same name by Lebanese-American poet** Kahlil Gibran,** is set to premiere on the West End stage for a very limited engagement in August.
The musical is set in New York City in 1923 and follows Gibran as he reminisces his life as an 18-year-old in the Middle East, where he falls in love with the daughter of a family friend, Selma Karamy. When Karamy becomes engaged to another man, Gibran must battle for her affection.
The semi-staged show with a nine-piece orchestra is set to be directed by **Bronagh Lagan** (*Little Women*) and will feature orchestrations by **Joe Davison.** A concept album is to be released on 10 May 2018.
