The **Jamie Lloyd Company**, who together with Pinter's wife **Lady Antonia Fraser** put together a full-fledged Harold Pinter season, has just announced that **Mark Rylance** will be performing Pinter's Nobel Lecture, *Art, Truth and Politics *for **two special charity events** as part of the [**Pinter at the Pinter**](https://www.londontheatredirect.com/tickets/pinter-at-the-pinter) season. The lecture was originally performed by Pinter himself back in 2005 upon receiving the Nobel Prize for Literature that same year. Rylance's performance will be in support of the *Stop the War *Coalition.

Mark Rylance is an English playwright, actor and theatre director. He is perhaps best known for being the first ever artistic director of Shakespeare's Globe from 1995 to 2005. The theatre officially 'reopened' in 1997 and is an academic approximation of what it looked like before it was destroyed by fire in 1613, rebuilt in 1614 and then demolished in 1644. Rylance's notable stage credits include *Hamlet, Romeo and Juliet, Much Ado About Nothing, *and *Macbeth.* *Stop the War* is a charity organisation that formed in 2001 in opposition of the war in Iraq and Afghanistan. Since its founding, it has endeavoured to oppose and protest against attacks on Syria and Libya and played a large role in the recent protests in London against Donald Trump. With Trump's erratic behaviour and unpredictable moves on the global stage, *Stop the War *believes that a strong anti-war voice is needed now more than ever. Harold Pinter was one of the coalition's earliest supporters and the charity has helped to forge an anti-war majority in the UK. **Be a part of the movement** and **support a good cause** by booking tickets to these fantastic Pinter plays on the 2nd and 4th of October! Entry to Mark Rylance's performance of *Art, Truth and Politics *at 6pm is **free when you show a valid ticket to the corresponding Pinter performance **for either of those nights.  Purchase your tickets to *One For the Road/**The New World Order/**Mountain Language**/Ashes* to Ashes for **2 October** by clicking [here](https://www.londontheatredirect.com/play/3159/pinter-one-for-the-road-new-world-order-mountain-language-ashes-to-ashes-tickets.aspx).
