### *Uncle Vanya* production shots released for new West End version
**Conor McPherson**'s new adaptation of **Anton Chekhov**'s literary masterpiece *Uncle Vanya* is now in previews at [**The Pinter**](https://www.londontheatredirect.com/venue/26/harold-pinter-theatre.aspx).
The star-studded cast of *Uncle Vanya *features **Aimee Lou Wood** as Sonya, **Anna Calder-Marshall **as Nana, **Ciarán Hinds** as Professor Serebryakov, **Dearbhla Molloy** as Grandmaman, **Peter Wight** as Telegin, **Richard Armitage** as Astrov, **Rosalind Eleazar **as Yelena, and **Toby Jones** as the eponymous Uncle Vanya.
The classic play centres on a dysfunctional family that falls victim to feuds and irreparable damage. The new West End production is directed by **Ian Rickson** ([***Translations***](https://www.londontheatredirect.com/play/4317/translations-tickets.aspx)) with features design by **Rae Smith**, lighting design by **Bruno Poet**, music by **Stephen Warbeck**, sound design by **Ian Dickinson**, and casting by **Amy Ball**.

The piece marks Armitage's return to the stage six years after he appeared in the revival of **Arthur Miller**'s *The Crucible*. McPherson's *Girl from the North Country* is currently running in the West End, and will open on Broadway later this year.
