Casting for The Selfish Giant announced: Jeff Nicholson, Izuka Hoyle and Rose Shalloo to star

The Oscar Wilde story adapted by Guy Chambers into a folk opera has just announced its cast.
The Giant will be portrayed by Jeff Nicholson, whose prior stage credits include *Sweeney Todd *at the ENO and the [Apollo Theatre](https://www.londontheatredirect.com/venue/1/apollo-theatre.aspx) production of *Urinetown*. Starring alongside Nicholson will be Izuka Hoyle, Rose Shalloo, Olly Dobson, Jacob Fisher, Scott Sutcliffe, and Laila Zaidi. The show will be narrated by Laura Sillett and Natasha Cottriall.
[*The Selfish Giant*](https://www.londontheatredirect.com/play/3001/the-selfish-giant-tickets.aspx) is part of the [Vaudeville Theatre's](https://www.londontheatredirect.com/venue/80/vaudeville-theatre.aspx) Classic Spring season and will run from 10-14 April after a brief run from 4-7 April at Royal & Derngate in Northampton.
The show is directed by Bill Buckhurst and has been adapted and composed by Guy Chambers, who has notably co-written songs for Robbie Williams, including *Let Me Entertain You*, *Angels *and *Feel*, which were all top 5 hits on the UK Singles charts. The show is an adaptation of Oscar Wilde's parable of the same name about a giant who owns a gorgeous garden and refuses to let any children play in it.
