BOLSHOI BALLET PIROUETTES AWAY WITH THREE CRITICS' CHOICE DANCE AWARDS

Winners of the **11th Critics’ Circle Dance Awards** have been announced at [**Sadler’s Wells**](https://www.londontheatredirect.com/venue/72/Sadlers-Wells.aspx) in London. The **Bolshoi Ballet** won three awards.
**The Bolshoi Ballet** won three prizes at the **11th Critics’ Circle Dance Awards** - **Best Foreign Dance Company** and awards for its star dancers, **Ivan Vasiliev** and **Natalia Osipova**.
**Rambert Dance** was named best company and had **Pieter Symonds** win the Best Female Performance (Modern) section.
The ceremony honoured **Alistair Spalding**, the venue’s chief executive, with the De Valois Award for Outstanding Achievement. Meanwhile, author **Jann Parry** also had an outstanding achievement award for her biography of Sir Kenneth MacMillan.

Best Modern Choreography - Russell Maliphant for Afterlight
Jane Attenborough Dance UK Industry Award - Gill Clarke MBE
Best Female Dancer - Natalia Osipova, the Bolshoi Ballet
Outstanding Company - Rambert Dance
The Dancing Times Award for Best Male Dancer - Ivan Vasilev, the Bolshoi Ballet
