Sure, **Lady Gaga**'s new *Chromatica* album is great and all, but the upcoming *Amélie* musical album is exactly what you need this summer! The full album will be released on digital platforms on Friday, 5 June 2020.

The stage musical itself is based on the hit 2001 French romantic comedy film of the same name by director **Jean-Pierre Jeunet** (*Alien Resurrection, Delicatessen, The City of Lost Children*). The movie was nominated for a total of five Academy Awards and ended up taking home two BAFTA Awards.
The musical premiered in the UK at the Watermill Theatre before transferring to [**The Other Palace in London**](https://www.londontheatredirect.com/venue/155/other-palace.aspx). The Off-West End musical features music by **Hem's Daniel Messé**, lyrics by **Nathan Tysen and Messé**, and a book by **Craig Lucas**.
